Wayne Stevens, managing director of Wix Filtration, says the company’s investment in electronic trading and becoming PACT-enabled three years ago has played an instrumental role in supporting the brand’s growth in the UK automotive aftermarket.

Stevens said: “We’ve been patient with our growth in the past few years and we’re now seeing some major benefits as a result of the investment we have made in becoming PACT-enabled. Electronic trading has been important to our growth due to the fact that, having achieved some major group business, our PACT status means that motor factor members can instantly trade and communicate with us electronically.

Wix Filtration processes close to 70 percent of all orders electronically, ensuring that by going paperless, the company increases productivity, saves valuable time and reduces costs.

Wix Filtration is one of 80 automotive suppliers that have the ability to connect through PACT to more than 2000 distributor locations in the UK.

WIX Filtration Ltd offers the full WIX automotive, light commercial and HD range of air, oil, fuel and cabin air filters, supplied from stock on a next day delivery service from its Northampton central distribution centre. This enables next day delivery anywhere in the UK and Northern Ireland.

The brand is also heavily associated with the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), having teamed up with Adam Morgan and Ciceley Motorsport for the 2014 series.

Mark Rudge of PACT added: “The success and growth of the Wix brand is testament to how PACT can help establish new brands or bring about much needed efficiencies to existing companies. Being PACT-enabled will have short term gains but it's in the long term that companies – and their customers – really experience the benefits, such as the substantial cost savings and increased efficiency running through the business, making them incredibly easy to deal with.”
