PACT has begun demonstrating its benefits to the commercial vehicle aftermarket by providing leading braking supplier, Juratek with increased business and trading efficiencies.

PACT forms part of a distributor’s business management system and is simple and easy to set-up, connecting to its supply base and allowing for real time stock enquiries and ordering and, the automation of order acknowledgements, dispatch notes and invoices. This saves time, money and allows for the redeployment of resources to much needed areas within a business.

Matthew Leeming, marketing manager at Juratek, said: “Sales have gone up since becoming PACT-enabled and customers now have 24/7 access to our stock availability. PACT also frees up our internal sales team, as instead of taking orders they’re being proactive with customers analysing trends and looking at new opportunities.

PACT currently works with 80 leading car & commercial vehicle suppliers, having worked in the automotive trade for the past 12 years. These suppliers have access to more than 2000 ‘buyer’ locations throughout the UK.

GROUPAUTO CV parts distributor and Juratek customer Hydrair Truck & Trailer Parts Ltd is also enjoying the benefits of PACT on a daily basis through the G-Net initiative. Alan Brotherton, general manager, said: “G-Net gives us instant viewing of a supplier’s stock, which is excellent. The biggest advantage for us is that it price matches at the point of order, meaning we don’t have to worry about price inaccuracies and, just as important, the supply of incorrect parts. Being electronically connected with our supplier base means that we’re not chasing orders – we know what’s coming and this leaves us free to concentrate on servicing customers to the highest possible standard.”

Mark Rudge of PACT added: “The benefits of PACT are starting to be felt in the commercial vehicle sector as the technology brings about real efficiencies that the entire supply chain can enjoy.”
